Volleyball Recap: Granville Blue Aces vs. Sheridan Generals

Granville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sheridan Generals. The Blue Aces were not able to make up for their defeat to the Generals from their previous meeting back in August of 2019.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Granville sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-20, 20-25, 26-24.

Melia Teter paced Granville's offense, picking up 13 kills. Teter were helped by Cassie Becker and Frannie Dodd, who contributed nine assists each. Ady Sims controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Granville now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Sheridan, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Granville will venture away from home to challenge Licking Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sheridan, they will square off against Crooksville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
