Baseball Game Preview: East Moline United Panthers vs. Sycamore Spartans

The East Moline United Panthers will head out to challenge the Sycamore Spartans at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. East Moline United will be strutting in after a victory while Sycamore will be coming in after a loss.

On Thursday, East Moline United needed a bit of extra time to put away Morris. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Redskins, sneaking past 5-3.

East Moline United saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dominic Stottler, who went 3-for-4 with one double. Kellan Kennedy also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Meanwhile, Sycamore didn't have quite enough to beat Wauconda on Saturday and fell 7-5.

East Moline United has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-11 record this season. As for Sycamore, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-15 record this season.
