Basketball Recap: Cortez Takes a Loss

Cortez lost against Dysart back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cortez Colts were outmatched by the Dysart Demons and fell 70-32.

Cortez's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Gisselle Ojeda Vega, who posted 13 points, and Kailey Vasquez, who put up 12 points.

Cortez has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Dysart, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-11.

Cortez has already played their next game, a 66-54 loss against Yuma on the 12th. Dysart does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
