The Crane Medical Cougars put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by North Lawndale at home to the tune of 67-19. Crane Medical might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five matches by 25 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Crane Medical to victory, but perhaps none more so than Taniya Reynolds, who scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals. Reynolds is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now stole two or more in the last six games she's played. Sariah Allen was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with 6 rebounds and 6 steals.
Crane Medical has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 7-0 record. As for North Lawndale, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
Crane Medical will head out on the road to face off against Von Steuben at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Von Steuben will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 542nd, while Crane Medical is ranked 15th). As for North Lawndale, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Lake View at 5:00 p.m. Lake View's defense has only allowed 26.3 points per game this season, so North Lawndale's offense will have their work cut out for North Lawndale.
