Basketball Recap: Danville Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Danville can now relate to. They were outmatched by the Regina Regals and fell 73-22. The matchup marked the Bears' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Danville has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-9 record this season. The victory was the 13th in a row for Regina, bringing their record for this year to 22-2.

Danville will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Columbus on February 21, 2026. As for Regina, they will challenge Maquoketa Valley at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Regina knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Maquoketa Valley likes a good challenge.
