Volleyball Recap: Northmont Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Northmont and Upper Arlington squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Northmont had to settle for second. They came up short against the Golden Bears, falling 3-0. The Thunderbolts just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

While Northmont was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Upper Arlington's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-12, 25-15.

Northmont's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Upper Arlington, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 16-7.

Northmont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Upper Arlington, they will challenge Dublin Jerome at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Celtics will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Golden Bears surely won't give up without a fight.
