Football Game Recap: Marceline vs. Paris

Marceline put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season on Friday. Everything came up roses for them against Paris as the squad secured a 51-6 win. That result was just more of the same for Marceline, who also won the last time these teams played.

Marceline got off to a slow start in their previous match, but they had no such trouble against Paris and cruised to a 44-point first half. Meanwhile, Paris couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 44-0 heading into the break. The Marceline defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 6 and all but finishing the contest. The victory bumped Marceline's record up to 4-1. The defeat dropped Paris' record to 2-3.

Next week Marceline take on Schuyler County at 7:00 PM. Both teams seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins. As for Paris, they will face off against Fayette. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this weekend.
