Football Recap: Lincoln-Way Central Knights vs. Batavia Bulldogs
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lincoln-Way Central can now relate to. They took a 25-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Batavia Bulldogs. The Knights lost against the Bulldogs in their previous head to head back in November of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 45-17 score last time.
Isaiah Brown went supernova for Batavia, picking up 93 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Jake Mysliwiec did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 80 receiving yards.
Lincoln-Way Central moved to 10-4 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak. As for Batavia, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-1.
