Baseball Recap: Spackenkill's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wallkill, Spackenkill was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Millbrook Blazers by a score of 10-5. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Spartans as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Dylan Boenig, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Albie Hasbrouck, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Spackenkill was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Spackenkill's record is now 4-11. As for Millbrook, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Looking ahead, Spackenkill will welcome Dover at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Millbrook does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
