Recap: Wellington Dukes vs. Clearview Clippers
The Wellington Dukes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 21 points or more this season. They blew past Clearview 55-28 at home. The win was nothing new for Wellington as they're now sitting on three straight.
Gabby Miller was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 20 rebounds. The contest was her third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Taylor Morris, who scored ten points.
Wellington has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Clearview, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 3-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wellington will face off against Loudonville at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Loudonville has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 971 points over their last 13 games. As for Clearview, they will head out on the road to face off against Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Columbia presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Clearview in Ohio (Columbia is ranked 117th, while Clearview is ranked 629th).
