Basketball Game Preview: York Dukes vs. Malcolm Clippers

The York Dukes will square off against the Malcolm Clippers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. York's defense has only allowed 29.2 points per game this season, so Malcolm's offense will have their work cut out for them.

York is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Norris just ended the team's nine-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 38-29 to the Titans. The matchup marked the Dukes' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

York's defeat came about despite a quality game from Chloe Koch, who posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Kinslee Kern, who had ten points and five boards.

Meanwhile, Malcolm had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 43 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 69-59 win over the Falcons.

Malcolm's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for York, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-2.

York beat Malcolm 46-33 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Will York repeat their success, or does Malcolm have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
