Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Clarion Area

Clarion Area hadn't done well against Clarion-Limestone recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The stars were shining brightly for the Clarion Area Bobcats in a 61-47 win over the Clarion-Limestone Lions. With that victory, the Bobcats brought their scoring average up to 51.2 points per game.

Clarion Area's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Wyatt Waterson, who posted 19 points. Nathan Frederick was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points per game. As for Clarion-Limestone, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clarion Area will take on Union in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
