Softball Recap: Dieterich Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Dieterich's offense. They lost 13-0 to Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg on Tuesday. The Movin Maroons just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Dieterich's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-5. As for Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg, they pushed their record up to 8-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dieterich will face off against Martinsville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Movin Maroons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bluestreaks have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season. As for Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg, they will challenge Meridian at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg 1.8, Meridian 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
