After a string of three wins, Huntington's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They lost 8-1 to the Central Heights Blue Devils. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Red Devils have suffered since April 12, 2024.

Huntington saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Herrington, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Huntington's loss dropped their record down to 20-5. As for Central Heights, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Huntington will square off against Diboll at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Red Devils 1.8, the Lumberjacks 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Central Heights, they will face off against Woodville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.95 runs per game on average), something the Blue Devils will no doubt try to take advantage of.
