Softball Recap: Kearny Takes a Loss

Kearny and La Jolla squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Kearny had to settle for second. They lost 14-0 to the Vikings. The loss continues a trend for the Komets in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost five in a row.

Kearny saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lovely Alarcio, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Kearny's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for La Jolla, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Kearny nor La Jolla have any future games scheduled.
