Softball Recap: Bound Brook Takes a Loss

Bound Brook blew Voorhees out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Voorhees got their revenge. The Crusaders fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 3-1.

Bound Brook has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Voorhees, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-9.

Bound Brook has already played their next game, a 7-2 loss against Ridge on the 27th. As for Voorhees, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-6 win against Hopewell Valley Central on the 24th.
