Softball Recap: Palmyra Takes a Loss

Red Land hit Palmyra with a six-run seventh inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cougars lost 13-2 to the Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in April.

Palmyra saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Layla Musser, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run.

Palmyra has also been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season. As for Red Land, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-3.

Coming up, Palmyra will take on Susquehanna Township at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cougars are facing the HANNA at the right time seeing as the HANNA are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Red Land, they will challenge Bishop McDevitt at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
