Softball Recap: Joliet West Tigers vs. Minooka Indians

Joliet West extended their losing streak to ten on Monday, dropping their season record down to 2-19 in the process. They came up short against the Minooka Indians, falling 9-0. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Tigers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Minooka, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. Considering they have won nine games by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

For Minooka's part, they got a great performance from Marina Hristov as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. Hristov has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Addisonn Crumly was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Gracie Anderson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
