Recap: Faith Christian Academy Falcons vs. Hancock Panthers
The Faith Christian Academy Falcons can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Hancock and snuck past 38-35. That three point margin sets a new team best for Faith Christian Academy this season.
Hancock lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Keelyn Seal, who scored 11 points along with eight assists and two steals. It was the first time this season that Seal posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Skylar Smith, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Even though they lost, Hancock were working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Faith Christian Academy's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-7. As for Hancock, they dropped their record down to 1-16 with that defeat, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.
Faith Christian Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Mountain View Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on February 27th. As for Hancock, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 43-38 loss vs. Hundred on the 10th.
