Colby is 8-2 against Scott since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Colby Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Scott Beavers. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Colby faced off against Cimarron on Friday. Colby blew past Cimarron 64-43. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Bluejays recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Scott entered their tilt with Larned on Tuesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They claimed a resounding 72-28 win over the Indians. Given the Beavers' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while the Indians are ranked 233rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Colby better keep an eye on Jackson Rumford. He was instrumental in Scott's win, going 6-for-8 to rack up 18 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Rumford's morning made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Tarango, who went 5-for-7 en route to 11 points and six steals.

Scott was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Colby's record now sits at 10-7. As for Scott, their record is now 13-4.

Colby didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Scott when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 51-47 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Colby since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
