Basketball Recap: Westmoreland Comes Up Short

Westmoreland lost against Essex on Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Westmoreland Eagles might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 42-38 to the Essex Trojans, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Westmoreland's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Essex, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westmoreland will venture away from home to square off against Lancaster at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Essex, they will square off against Northumberland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Northumberland's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches.
