Volleyball Recap: Jackson Center Tigers vs. Houston Wildcats
Jackson Center was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Houston Wildcats. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.
Jackson Center was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Houston work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-21, 28-26, 25-15.
Tatum Reichert paced Jackson Center's offense, picking up 12 kills. Reichert got some help from Laynee Shields and her 15 assists.
Houston's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Keaton Turner, who had 18 digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Turner a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaycie Seipel, who had 16 digs and two assists.
Jackson Center's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Houston, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-4.
