Baseball Game Preview: Redmond Mustangs vs. Bothell Cougars

Redmond and Bothell are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Mustangs will take on the Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Redmond will be strutting in after a win while Bothell will be coming in after a defeat.

If Redmond beats Bothell with five runs on Wednesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Mustangs came out on top against Juanita by a score of 5-2 on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

Meanwhile, while it was Bothell who put the first runs on the board on Monday, it was Woodinville who put up more. The Cougars fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Cougars have suffered against the Falcons since June 10, 2021.

Parks Eugster was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Carson Hopkins was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Redmond now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Bothell, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.

Redmond came up short against Bothell when the teams last played back in April of 2025, falling 6-3. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
