North Olmsted came tearing into Thursday's contest with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Lakewood Rangers with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Eagles were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Rangers, so the Eagles were just returning the favor.

While North Olmsted won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-16, 27-25.

North Olmsted was led to victory by Ava Rees and Nela Bosch. Rees had 12 digs and four aces, while Bosch had six digs and three aces. Those four aces gave Rees a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: North Olmsted was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lakewood only served four aces.

North Olmsted's record now sits at 6-0. As for Lakewood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

North Olmsted didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Valley Forge on the 2nd. As for Lakewood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against North Ridgeville on the 30th.
