Basketball Game Preview: Jackson County Panthers vs. Cedar Shoals Jaguars + Official Tickets

The Jackson County Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Cedar Shoals Jaguars at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Jackson County is leaving town to face Cedar Shoals after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. The Panthers had to suffer through an 89-58 loss at the hands of East Forsyth. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Meanwhile, Cedar Shoals had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 50-46 to Habersham Central on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Jaguars in their meetings with the Raiders: they've now lost three in a row.

Jackson County ended up a good deal behind Cedar Shoals in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, losing 66-51. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
