Football Recap: Harrah Comes Up Short

Harrah dropped down to 6-3 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They had to suffer through a 66-28 loss at the hands of the Ardmore Tigers. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 52-14.

Harrah's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Callan Whitnah, who rushed for 71 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also threw for 139 yards and one TD. Whitnah is also on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last five games he's played. Brock Day helped out on the ground, rushing for 97 yards and a rushing touchdown.

As for Ardmore, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by 21 points or more this season.

Ardmore got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Da'Rai Washington out in front who rushed for 56 yards and a pair of scores on only five carries. The team also got some help courtesy of K'DRIEN MILLER, who threw for 123 yards and two touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harrah will welcome Tuttle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Ardmore, they will be playing at home against Tecumseh at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the Savages' rather soft defense (which has allowed 41.11 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
