Baseball Recap: Bishop McGuinness Takes a Loss

Bishop McGuinness fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Leadership Academy on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 9-8. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, with their most recent defeat being a 8-6 loss two weeks ago.

Bishop McGuinness' defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Leadership Academy, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Bishop McGuinness does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Leadership Academy, they will be playing at home against Bethany Community at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolves have averaged an impressive 13.2 runs per game this season.
