It was a good run, but St. Thomas More unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 3-1 to the Kettle Moraine Lutheran Chargers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.

St. Thomas More started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-22, 26-24, 25-16.

Emma Krysiak paced St. Thomas More's offense, picking up 13 kills. Krysiak got some help from Julia Killoran and her 26 assists. Sophia Lobehoefer controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Leading Kettle Moraine Lutheran to victory were Brooklyn Luehring and Haley Urbanek. Luehring had eight digs and two aces, while Urbanek had ten digs. Those eight digs gave Luehring a new career-high. Alayna Crass also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

St. Thomas More's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Kettle Moraine Lutheran, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season.

St. Thomas More has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Whitefish Bay on the 20th. As for Kettle Moraine Lutheran, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Luxemburg-Casco on the 19th.
