Soccer Recap: Pflugerville Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Pflugerville was not quite East View's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell just short of the East View Patriots by a score of 1-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-0 back in January.

Pflugerville has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. The win was the third in a row for East View, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Pflugerville take on the Elgin at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for East View, they will square off against Pflugerville Connally at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (East View has won four straight at home, while Pflugerville Connally won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
