Basketball Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 70-39 to the Xavier Saints, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hawks of the 60-27 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Xavier, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Jefferson will be home for the holidays to greet Waverly-Shell Rock at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jefferson is facing Waverly-Shell Rock at the right time seeing as Waverly-Shell Rock is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Xavier, they are taking a road trip to take on Waterloo West at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
