Volleyball Game Preview: Salinas Cowboys vs. Carmel Padres + How To Watch

The Salinas Cowboys will take on the Carmel Padres at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Wednesday, Salinas was able to grind out a solid win over Palma, taking the game 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cowboys.

The victory didn't come easy: Palma scored at least 21 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 22-25, 25-22, 25-21.

Salinas can attribute much of their success to Ariana Devers, who hit 100% for six kills and 43 assists and 18 digs. That's the most digs Devers has posted since September 2nd.

Meanwhile, Carmel got the win against Hollister on Wednesday by a conclusive 3-0. The Padres haven't had any issues with the Haybalers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-11, 25-20.

Carmel now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Salinas, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5.

Salinas suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Carmel when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Cowboys avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
