On Saturday, the La Cueva Bears faced the Eldorado Golden Eagles in a battle between two of the state's top teams. La Cueva strolled past Eldorado with points to spare, taking the game 71-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

La Cueva's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cameron Dyer led the charge by scoring 17 points along with six rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dyer has scored all season. Eric Jacobsen was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds.
