Softball Recap: Fulshear Beats Alief Elsik for Their Seventh Straight Victory

Fulshear waltzed into their game on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They never let the Alief Elsik Rams get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Chargers, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Brinley Jones was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ava Callahan, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Kynlee Callahan was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.

Fulshear was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .435. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in six consecutive matchups.

Fulshear's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-5. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Alief Elsik, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.
