Volleyball Game Preview: Carbon Dinos vs. American Heritage Patriots

The Carbon Dinos will face off against the American Heritage Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Carbon made easy work of Providence Hall and carried off a 3-0 win. The Dinos haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Carbon never let Providence Hall on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-15, 25-23.

North Sanpete came into Tuesday's game looking for another win against American Heritage, but Joey Haymond wouldn't allow it. The Patriots had just enough and edged out the Hawks 3-2 on Tuesday for which the team can thank Haymond, who had 22 digs and four aces. He is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games he's played.

American Heritage took North Sanpete into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-15, 23-25, 19-25, 15-12.

American Heritage is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for Carbon, they pushed their record up to 14-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
