Basketball Game Preview: King & Queen Central Royal Tigers vs. King William Cavaliers

The King & Queen Central Royal Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the King William Cavaliers at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Two weeks ago, King & Queen Central didn't have quite enough to beat Middlesex and fell 39-37.

King & Queen Central might have lost, but man, Janiya Brown was a machine: she posted 24 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. With that strong performance, Brown is now averaging an impressive 16.1 points per game.

Meanwhile, King William was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 40-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Grace Christian School.

King William's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for King & Queen Central, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

King & Queen Central took a serious blow against King William in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 48-12. Can King & Queen Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
