Baseball Recap: Walton-Verona Comes Up Short

After flying high against Nicholas County last Saturday, Walton-Verona came back down to earth. Walton-Verona lost 9-2 to the Paul Laurence Dunbar Bulldogs on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bearcats have suffered since May 11, 2024.

Walton-Verona saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aidan Kerns, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Kerns also hit a double, marking his first of the season.
