Basketball Recap: Bible Baptist Christian Piles Up the Points Against Coastal Homeschool

Coastal HomeSchool typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Bible Baptist Christian proved too difficult a challenge. They claimed a resounding 71-42 victory over the Coastal HomeSchool Hurricanes. The Wolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 21 points or more this season.

Keitho Johnson was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (eight). Justin Coleman was another key player, putting up three points along with eight assists and four steals.

Bible Baptist Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Coastal HomeSchool only racked up 14 assists.

Coastal HomeSchool's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Alijah McField, who went 7 for 15 en route to 18 points and six boards, and Micah Faith, who posted nine points.

The win was the third in a row for Bible Baptist Christian, bringing their record for this year to 16-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points per game. As for Coastal HomeSchool, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-9 record this season.

Bible Baptist Christian has already played their next game (against South Atlanta), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Coastal HomeSchool won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Veritas Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
