Basketball Game Preview: East Granby Crusaders vs. Gilbert Yellowjackets

East Granby hasn't had much luck against Gilbert recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The East Granby Crusaders will face off against the Gilbert Yellowjackets at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

East Granby is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They strolled past Windsor Locks with points to spare, taking the game 47-30.

Meanwhile, Gilbert hadn't done well against Northwestern Regional recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way back in February. Gilbert came out on top against Northwestern Regional by a score of 75-68. The Yellowjackets' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

The win got Gilbert back to even at 2-2. As for East Granby, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.

East Granby came up short against Gilbert in their previous meeting back in February of 2022, falling 51-38. Can East Granby avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
