Soccer Game Preview: Columbus vs. Veterans

The Columbus Blue Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Veterans Warhawks at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Columbus will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.

Columbus' defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Spencer with a sharp 10-0 win. The result was nothing new for Columbus, who have now won eight contests by four goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Veterans didn't have quite enough to beat Perry on Tuesday and fell 3-2.

Columbus' victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four games. As for Veterans, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.

Columbus was able to grind out a solid victory over Veterans in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
