Softball Recap: Notre Dame Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Manitowoc Lincoln on Monday, Notre Dame Academy came back down to earth. The Tritons came up short against the De Pere Redbirds on Saturday, falling 13-3. The loss continues a trend for the Tritons in their meetings with the Redbirds: they've now lost nine in a row.

Notre Dame Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Ciak, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Notre Dame Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for De Pere, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 16-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Redbirds beat Notre Dame Academy by a score of 6-2 later that day.
