Soccer Recap: Citrus Comes Up Short

After flying high against Bronson on Monday, Citrus came back down to earth. The Hurricanes came up short against the South Lake Eagles on Friday, falling 9-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Citrus of the 4-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Their goal came courtesy of Brayden Richardson, which was the first he's scored this season.

Citrus now has a losing record of 2-3. As for South Lake, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-0-2.

Citrus didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-2 draw against Trinity Catholic on the 17th. As for South Lake, they have also already played their next match, a 7-1 victory against Foundation Academy on the 18th.
