Softball Recap: Classical Purple vs. Mt. Pleasant Kilties
Classical took care of business in their home opener on Friday (barely). They won by a run and slipped past the Mt. Pleasant Kilties 15-14. Both teams can probably skip cardio this week after making that many trips around the bases.
Mia Amaral was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing four bases off of two hits. Gabrielle Rodriguez was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base off of one hit.
Classical will be playing in front of their home fans against Times Squared Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Mt. Pleasant, they will head out on the road to challenge Juanita Sanchez Complex at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Mt. Pleasant is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
