Marcellus won the last time they faced Comstock and things went their way on Monday too. The Wildcats blew past the Colts 22-3. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won six matches by seven runs or more so far this season.
Abby Tone made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Tone was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Marcellus got a massive performance out of Makynna Harrison, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Hannah Sharp, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three RBI and two runs.
Marcellus always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .933. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.
Marcellus' win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Comstock, they are on a 25-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.
