Volleyball Recap: North Chicago Takes a Loss

North Chicago was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 23rd straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Grayslake North Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in April.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-20.

Justin Ayala paced North Chicago's offense, picking up four kills. Ayala really made an impact as he also led the team in assists with six. He was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

North Chicago's defeat dropped their record down to 0-22. As for Grayslake North, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-19.

North Chicago has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Westlake Christian Academy on the 12th. As for Grayslake North, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Antioch on the 13th.
