Basketball Recap: West Nottingham Comes Up Short

West Nottingham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Providence Christian Academy Griffins, falling 53-27. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 67-55 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

Bryce Unruh was a one-man wrecking crew for Providence Christian Academy as he went 12 for 17 on his way to 29 points in addition to 13 steals and 11 boards. Unruh has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 27 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Clayton Starkey, who posted six points and four steals.

West Nottingham's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Providence Christian Academy, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

West Nottingham will head out to challenge Tri-State Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Providence Christian Academy, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Tome at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
