Baseball Recap: Paxon School for Advanced Studies Now 10-1 over Last 11 Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Keystone Heights, Paxon School For Advanced Studies was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Miami Stingarees. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Golden Eagles have posted since March 4th.

Zach Blandford looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Paxon School For Advanced Studies got a big performance out of Henry Harris, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Javon Johnson, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Paxon School For Advanced Studies is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.1 runs on average over those games. The loss snapped Miami's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 14-3 record.
