After a string of eight wins, Math & Science College Preparatory's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 3-1 to the Los Angeles Romans. The Sharks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Romans earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 9-25, 25-20, 25-16.

Math & Science College Preparatory's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 9-3. As for Los Angeles, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-10.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Math & Science College Preparatory is set to take on their familiar foe Santee at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Los Angeles will challenge rival Jefferson at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
