Volleyball Recap: Bard Early College Finds Playoff Glory Versus Lincoln West

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Bard Early College had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lincoln West Wolverines. The victory continues a trend for the Raptors in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now won seven in a row.

Bard Early College walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-15, 25-20.

Alonso Ezell was a one-man wrecking crew as he had 19 digs and four aces. He has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 12 times he's played.

Ezell wasn't the only good server: Bard Early College was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That's the most aces they've posted in their last three contests.

Bard Early College's victory was their 22nd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-4. As for Lincoln West, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Bard Early College will take on Chardon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hilltoppers will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Raptors surely won't give up without a fight. Lincoln West does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
