While Clairemont's victory against University City wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Chieftains had just enough and edged out the Centurions 7-6. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-1 back in April.
Gigi Villalpando spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and five unearned) runs on ten hits.
On the hitting side, Camryn Walton was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Lucy Brickner was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

The Falcons will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Chieftains surely won't give up without a fight. As for University City, they will face off against Madison at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
