Volleyball Recap: Howards Grove Now 10-2 over Last 12 Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Manitowoc Lutheran, Howards Grove was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Cedar Grove-Belgium Rockets by a score of 3-1. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rockets, too.

Howards Grove had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 25-22, 25-8, 25-20.

Leading Howards Grove to victory were Brianne Vandoske and Sydney Borgen. Vandoske had five digs and five aces, while Borgen had six digs and two aces. That's the most aces Vandoske has posted since back in August.

Howards Grove is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. As for Cedar Grove-Belgium, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8.
